Terms of use

The ALBATROS Skin Analyzer ("the Service") is a free, informational tool that produces a cosmetic appearance analysis from a photograph and suggests skincare products and ingredients.

The Service is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or healthcare service. See the medical disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

You must be 18 or over to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you are, and that any photograph you upload is of your own skin or of a person aged 18 or over who has given you informed consent to upload it.

You agree not to:

• Upload images of anyone under 18, under any circumstances;
• Upload images of another person without their informed consent;
• Upload images of intimate areas, or anything not covered by the region list;
• Upload content that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to upload;
• Attempt to use the Service for medical diagnosis, or present its output as a medical opinion to anyone;
• Automate, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent the rate limits or safety controls;
• Use the Service to build a competing dataset or model.

We may refuse or terminate access for any breach, without notice.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

AI models can be inaccurate. Output may be wrong, incomplete or inconsistent between runs on the same image. You rely on it at your own risk. Do not make health decisions based on it.

Recommendations are generated automatically by matching observations against published ingredient data. They are suggestions, not professional advice, and they are commercial in nature — the products suggested are our own.

Always read the full ingredient list on the pack, patch test before first use, and stop using anything that causes a reaction. Product availability, formulation and pricing are governed by the terms of the store where you buy them, not by these terms.

You keep all rights in the photographs you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process them for the sole purpose of producing your analysis, for the duration of that request only. We do not retain them — see the privacy notice.

The Service, its design, code, text and the ALBATROS name and marks are owned by ALBATROS and protected by intellectual property law. Your analysis report is yours to keep and use personally; you may not republish the Service's content commercially without written permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALBATROS is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, nor for any decision you make on the basis of its output.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Amman have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law.
